Privacy policy

This privacy policy is a public statement of how our website applies data protection principles to processing data. We have tried to make it as clear as possible so that it is accessible to all.

What this policy covers:

Because your privacy is important to us, and so is being transparent about how we collect, use, and share information about you, this policy is intended to help you understand:

  • Who is collecting data on our website?
  • What data is being collected?
  • Will the data be shared with any third parties?
  • How will the information be used?
  • What rights does a data subject have?
  • How can a data subject raise a complaint?

Who is collecting data on our website?

Any information you provide via this website is collected by us, TDO Design.

Some anonymous data is also collected by Google Analytics. More on this is included later on this page.

What data is being collected?

We collect data via our website’s contact form, which collects information such as your name, company, job title, email and telephone number which is also emailed to us. This information is not stored on our website or its server. At the bottom of our form, we ask for consent to collect your data. Do not use the form if you do not want to give consent.

We also allow data to be collected by cookies and tracking technology for Google Analytics. These technologies collect information on how users interact with our website, enabling us to improve.

For example, Google Analytics cookies help us to understand how visitors arrive at and browse our services and website to identify areas for improvement, such as navigation and user experience. With Google Analytics, in accordance with best practices, we have set up anonymized IP addresses so your IP cannot be identified.

Opting out of cookies: You can set up your browser to refuse cookies if you want to, though that might limit some site features. To do so, you can change your browser’s options to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from a website you visit. The UK-based Information Commissioner’s Office provides more information on cookies and how to opt-out here: ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/

Will the data be shared with any third parties?

The data we collect via our website is for our use. We will not sell this information.

We engage in partnerships with other trusted companies but would only share your information with them with your consent. We might need to share your information with a third-party partner to process an order, in which case a third party might need to process data on our behalf.

How will the information be used?

Information we collect via this website is for the purposes of dealing with your contact request, providing further information, arranging appointments, and occasionally updating you about our company news.

When occasionally updating you about our company news, we use the email service MailChimp, which processes email data on our behalf and collects analytics about how respondents react and behave when receiving our emails. The email address you supply to us through our website form is transferred to MailChimp’s system per the MailChimp Privacy Policy. You can opt out of our emails in the footer of each email – please feel free to do so if you do not want to hear from us. You can also call us at 01404 851 470, email heloise@drawing-office.co.uk,  or use our website contact form to get in touch about the use of your email address.

What rights does a data subject have?

One of the primary aspects of GDPR regulations is an increase in the rights of the data subject (you as a website user). This includes the right to withdraw consent to your data at any time, to inspect and correct stored data, to be forgotten (have your data deleted), and to receive in a portable format any data we have.

You can request to see the data we hold on you at any point and request deletion of your data at any point.

How can a data subject raise a complaint?

If you would like to complain about our website data practices, please call us at 01404 851 470, email heloise@drawing-office.co.uk, or use our website contact form to get in touch.

Note about website security:

We have put security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Only authorised personnel are allowed physical and/or digital access to our servers and data. All servers and data backups are kept secure from physical and electronic intrusion by the use of firewalls and security systems, which are monitored and periodically evaluated and upgraded.

WP Engine hosts our website – and hosting via WP Engine is arranged through our digital marketing partner, Loop Central. WP Engine and Loop Central help process data on our behalf and comply with data protection regulations applicable to their services.
