Village Hall
We were appointed by the committee to deliver a Building Regulations package for a new oak-framed village hall, replacing an ageing Nissen hut on the site.
Originally featured on Grand Designs and designed by Orme, this project presented a unique opportunity to build upon an already ambitious vision. We became involved following the client’s purchase of the property in 2018, at which point the buildings were largely incomplete shell structures.
Since then, we have supported the ongoing evolution of the site through a series of planning applications covering the main house, café building and ancillary structures. Our role has been to help shape and refine the development in a way that responds to both the architectural intent and the wider setting.
It has been particularly rewarding to see Heron Farm grow from a partially completed scheme into a thriving destination — combining contemporary architecture, vineyard landscape and a popular café to create a well-loved venue for both locals and visitors.
