Village Hall
We were appointed by the committee to deliver a Building Regulations package for a new oak-framed village hall, replacing an ageing Nissen hut on the site.
The client purchased a former chicken shed to convert into a family home. As can be seen in the pictures the existing structure was in poor condition and required a new portal frame to build around.
The client’s brief was to create a contemporary modern home with views across the neighbouring fields and paddock.
The conversion was classed as Class Q which already had planning permission. We were instructed to produce all of the construction drawings and specifications for the build.
The conversion is characterised by the high vaulted ceilings with large roof lights. There is a large living space.
The build was competed by a local contractor.

We were commissioned by the RSPB following a competitive design process to deliver a new office and staff accommodation building within a sensitive woodland setting.
